Meet your Board Of Trustees

Natacha Abreu

Natacha is an international sales and business leader with a strong track record in business turn around, sales growth, and market restructuring.

She is passionate about diversity and inclusion and believes that when she grows, she has the chance to help others grow.

Natacha is a faithful longtime supporter of UOFL and has a very strong love for this community and the Unity Five Principles.

Kay Vogt

Kay has been an enthusiastic and grateful member of UOFL since moving to Florida from Provincetown, MA over ten years ago.  She has served on the Usher Team, participated in various committees, assisted in the office, and is always available to lend a hand.

A US Navy veteran, Kay looks forward to being a board member to further fulfill her sense of service to our church.  She brings with her over 30 years of experience in the corporate world, where she held numerous roles in training and management.

Chris Rucker

Chris was introduced to Unity in 1998.  He has a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies and 20 years of experience in litigation support and management.

He has been a member of UOFL since 2008 and served on the Information and Special Events Teams.  

Chris' goal for UOFL is to focus more on the traditional Unity teachings so we can live the principles with authenticity as we work towards the goal of building community.

Meet YOUR Staff

Marca Patton

Operations Manager
Marca is a thirty year (currently retired) law enforcement professional, specializing in crime victim services, crisis intervention and management.  She is a founding member of the Broward Victim Rights Coalition, and served in the role of President of the executive board for five years.

Marca brings with her the combined experience of both private and public leadership skills with her mastery of crisis response and management.  Marca has been a UOFL member for 10 years and has served as Lead Chaplain and President of the  UOFL Board of Trustees.

Bryan Sawchuk

Ministry Coordinator
Bryan is a Unity Prayer Chaplain Emeritus (since 2008) who trained with Rev. Luzette Rivera-Diaz.  He is a Global Sciences Foundation Certified Law of Attraction practitioner, a coach, and has a Bachelors of Science degree from Southern New Hampshire University in Business Studies & Organizational Leadership.  

Bryan facilitates law of attraction, meditation, deliberate breathing, and communication courses. His mission is to inspire humanity to deliberately live a life they love by teaching a practical approach to how we create our lives.

Barbara Wilkins

Office Administration
Barbara has done a variety of background work.  Her most recent positions are in Vacation Home Rentals and helping with ECHO Inc. (Educational Concerns Hunger Organization).  ECHO Inc., is an international nonprofit that has been equipping and empowering hungry families by teaching small scale sustainable farming.  

Barbara’s skills are perfect for efficient behind the scenes administration and support for our Unity of Fort Lauderdale community.  She brings enthusiastic energy that embraces our core values.  Her favorite value to bring is Joy “regardless of our circumstances”.  
Set-Up Artist
Mason is a graduate of the Pratt Institute in NY where he earned a BA degree in Fine Arts. He has worked in the field as a make-up artist for
theatrical productions.

At UOFL, he is always there to have things up and running for our services, classes and events. Mason is also responsible for keeping our storage rooms organized and the musical equipment stored properly.

Meet YOUR music team

Rachel Ohnsman

Music Director / Vocalist
Rachel joined the the Music Team as Music Director in 2018 and has completed her graduate program at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music.  Growing up
in PA, Rachel trained in classical piano and voice, and enjoyed musical theatre. Upon moving to Miami, she found her love in jazz and pop.

DD Wilde

DD is a Miami native who has graced Unity Churches in South Florida with her voice for well over a decade.  DD grew up with eight siblings where music was a constant.  Though none of the family was formally trained, what was an enjoyable hobby became a profession for all in their youth.  In 1988, DD released her debut album,
"No Way Out".

Andres Roa

Andres is from Ibague, Tolima, commonly known as the Musical City of Colombia.  He studied at Tolima Conservatory of Music and then at Javeriana University in Bogota.  In 2001, he studied under a scholarship at Miami-Dade College.  Andres has been a freelance drum set player for 15 years in Florida, working with a wide variety of artists.

Ranses Colon

From Venezuela to Miami, Ranses is one of the most sought-after bassists in the world, for recordings and live performances.  Ranses plays all types of basses.  He has recorded with many famous artists and performed Rap to Classical, Jazz to Latin, and Danzon to Reggae.  The first album Ranses produced and arranged, "Rose", was released in 2002 and became
very popular. 


Sound Engineer
Iggy immigrated from Santiago, Chile where he received his Masters in Sound Engineering.  He has been a part of the Unity of Fort Lauderdale Music Team for nearly a decade.  He uses his expertise in various ventures throughout South Florida.
